Alyssa and Tanner/ Wedding Bliss

April 30th of this year, Jessica and I had the distinct honor of photographing the wedding of Alyssa Cutshaw and Tanner Wright. I thought I would use a few paragraphs to share with you some of the impressions we got from this wonderful couple.
Let’s start by saying a few things about Alyssa. What a sweet, kind hearted, happy soul she is! Seriously, you cannot be in the same room with Alyssa without being affected by the simple joy that seems to radiate off of her. She has a wonderful smile that lights up anyone around her and a tender kindness that is apparent to all. Yet,along with those qualities, Jessica and I have also been able to detect a fiery passion and a fierce loyalty to those things that she holds true in her heart. This is most evidently displayed in the way that she interacts with her now husband, Tanner.
So, a few words about Tanner. I’ll start with this: Tanner is a mans man. The guy is just cool. He was a college football star, he grew up in the mountains, he hunts wild animals and I am not unsure that he doesn’t wrestle them down with his own bare hands. Joking aside, he did pull me aside during the wedding rehearsal dinner to show me the gigantic rifle in his jeep that looks like something Rambo would be envious of. Oh, not to mention the fact that on the day of his wedding, before the ceremony, he and his groomsmen were firing off skeet shoot discs at each other and Tanner got hit right in the face with one….and yes, he got cut. Did it bother him? No. After he told me the story, I got the impression that he wanted another chance to go out into the field to try to catch another one.
So in the union of Alyssa and Tanner, we see the joining together of feminine grace and rugged masculinity, and these two strike the perfect balance as they gaze into each others eyes and envision a lifelong love that they will share together lived out in a poetic display for all to see. Cheers to you Alyssa and Tanner, your love story is an inspiration!
